Postcard from Jean Hollis Weber
Hi to WISENET from
here in Airlie Beach, Queensland, where I have been living for the past 7 years.
Retirement means being busier than ever, between writing books and travelling,
including speaking at several professional conferences each year, here and in
the USA. I can’t imagine how I used to fi t a job into my life!
Here are some photos, of me, the view from my office (the front of the lounge in my unit), and me at work on a book in the outback town of Mataranka, in the Northern Territory. Note mobile phone in use as an Internet connection, and giant termite mounds in the background. This last photo was taken in 2004 when I was on a 10-week around-Australia trip, with a tight deadline on a book to be delivered. I don’t think my American editor believed me when I told him where and how I was working.
