Since inception, all WISENET journals have been lodged in the Jessie Street Library (see article in J50). It seems fitting that in this 20th year of WISENET that Jean Hollis Weber, the originator of our website (see Tribute, J60), has been made an Honorary Member of WISENET and that the website has been included in PANDORA.

PANDORA is Preserving and Accessing Networked Documentary Resources of Australia. This initiative by the National Library of Australia has archived over 5000 Australian websites whose material might otherwise become lost or overlooked when removed. From the web page, http://pandora.nla.gov.au/index.html, it is possible to look at the many sites that have been selected for inclusion in this forward looking library program. It was a real pleasure to receive advice from Margaret Phillips, the Director of Digital Archiving at the NLA WISENET accepting our nomination. Even better to then to receive the letter from Edgar Crook of the National Library advising the decision to include the WISENET website in PANDORA (see below). Accordingly, on June 7, 2004, the following statement was added to the WISENET website: “Contributors to WISENET should be aware that permission for inclusion in the Archive is implicit in any contribution made to the WISENET website.” Cheers to our publication posterity.
