WISENET now has its own website, which is located at:
www.wisenet-australia.org. The
redesign was completed about a month ago, and all back issues up to #59 are
accessible.
Email enquiries regarding web matters can be addressed directly to
webmaster@wisenetaustralia.org.
Jean Hollis Weber, who has been the Honorary website manager for four years,
is stepping down, but will continue to assist WISENET during the transition
period from the old Sydney University website to the current one.
The new domain name will provide WISENET with a degree of professionalism,
which is good for the group, according to Jean Weber, Honorary Senior Web Site
Editor, and if the site is moved elsewhere, the website address will not
change.
WISENET is fortunate in receiving a donation of approximately $210 to defray
the first year's subscription. Sarah Miller Treasurer) and Anna Robinson
(National Convenor) have suggested that WISENET can afford this amount in the
future.
Site transfer, redesign and updating were carried out in late May and early
June. The new site went “live” on June 15th. The old site will eventually be
removed; however, Jean Weber has put a pointer on the old Sydney University
website, so that anyone accessing the old site is automatically transferred to
the old one.
This is an exciting development for WISENET and while we are looking forward
to checking out the new site, we are also very much indebted to Sydney
University for hosting our site over the years, and extend our heartfelt
thanks to all at Sydney University for their assistance.
