Join prominent female scientists to share experiences, explore issues and define a better balance for women in careers in Science, Technology and Engineering.

The purpose of the conference is to:

• Highlight the achievements of women working in Science, Technology and Engineering,
• Identify problems women encounter working in these areas, explore solutions and identify models of best practice,
• Build networks between women working in universities, industry and CSIRO,
• Assist institutions and employing organisations to identify and develop policies and practice which promote women’s employment in STE-related areas.

Workshop topics include:

Scientific leadership, public image of women in science, handling the male culture, non-traditional roles, mentoring, networking, pay and performance systems, career development, balancing work and family.

Who should attend

Those who work in any area of science or engineering, students, policy makers, unionists, human resources specialists, science teachers and communicators, and all others with an interest in the area.
