AGM Requires e-Mail Voting to Approve "Virtual Committee"
April 11, 2008
Notice from the National Convenor, Diane Webster
Thank you to everyone who
participated in the first part of the AGM held by teleconference on
Wednesday evening. The meeting was very successful and minutes will be
circulated shortly.
The required quorum (20 people) was not reached for the proposed
constitutional change to allow the National executive to be run as a
'virtual' committee rather than by a single link group. Full details of
the proposed constitutional change is in the attached file 8a_virtual
exec, and was published in Journal 76. Please e-mail me your votes on the
following two motions.
1: That the constitution be altered to allow the National Link Team to function
as a virtual committee with members sourced from throughout the
organisation.
Currently 10 votes in favour, none against.
2: That approval be give for up to three teleconferences per year
(including the AGM) to facilitate management of WISENet by the National
Link Team.
(expected cost <$900 per year, sustainable within current budgets) Currently 10
votes in favour, none against.
The AGM will officially close at 5pm on Wed 23rd, April, 2008.
Please cast your vote before then.
