Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA)

The Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) provides advice and information to employers on implementing equal opportunity programs for women in the workplace. Equal opportunity workplace programs are implemented to eliminate discrimination against women in the workplace. The EOWA administers the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999.

Office of the Status of Women (OSW)

OSW's role is to provide policy advice to the Prime Minister and the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Status of women on issues affecting women in Australia.

Australian Public Service Commission (APSC)

The mission of the APSC is to foster the achievement of a high performing, ethical and client focused public service, promoting quality management of people and work. The APSC supports the implementation of government policy on the APS on workplace diversity The APSC has an Australian Public Service Employment Database (APSED), which provides data about the representation of EEO groups in APS agencies.

Advancing Women is a US skills building organization which provides coaching, mentoring, strategy and support to empower women to route around traditional choke points in their careers and to keep advancing to the highest level of their capabilities. They place particular emphasis on the many ways technology overlays a business and how it can be leveraged to advance one's career.

Catalyst

Catalyst is a non-profit US organisation that works with corporations and professional firms to advance women in business and the professions. Catalyst counts the number of women on Fortune 500 Boards, how many corporate dollars and the percentage of women of colour in corporate management. The Catalyst Awards honor coporations and firms who have made pioneering initiatives that advanced women.

Balancing Breastfeeding and Work: Employer support

Workplace Support Project Materials targeting employers, employees and workplaces with information about combining breastfeeding and employment has been developed. The package contains a booklet, poster, and flier and has been disseminated to medium to large sized businesses throughout Australia to promote and support women continuing to breastfeed while in paid employment.
