WISENET was established to increase women's participation in the sciences and to link people in different branches of science and those working towards a more participatory and socially useful science.
WISENET is open to women and men who are interested in the sciences and in working for change in line with the objectives. New members and institutional members are welcome.

Awards for Women in Science.
L'Oreal and UNESCO offer a range of
awards for women in science including Laureates, International Fellowships (15
globally) and
National Fellowships (4 awards for Australia). A number of Australian women have
received these awards, including 2 Laureates and 2 International fellowships.
